Furikake is a Japanese seasoning meant to sprinkled on top of cooked rice for flavor and nutrient, it is part of Japanese daily life.
The “Nationwide Furikake Grand Prix” is an event for deciding the best Furikake in Japan.
It held in 2014, 2015 and 2017 (2016 was postponed due to the Kumamoto earthquake of 2016) at the birthplace of Furikake the “Kumamoto prefecture.” Around 40,000 people visited the Grand Prix.
The visitors do a popularity vote to decide Japan’s No.1 Furikake.
Our Ika Kombu has won the Gold Award at the “Nationwide Furikake Grand Prix Gold Award Winner 2014”(1st time) and “Nationwide Furikake Grand Prix Gold Award Winner 2015” (2nd time) twice in a row at the “Nationwide Furikake Grand Prix Gold Award Winner 2017”(3rd time) our “Shakitto Ume Chirimen” won the Gold Award.
As mentioned above, our products have won the Gold Award in three conventions in a row.
